New Groups

Happy Monday Everyone,

For those of you that do not know me, let me tell you a little about myself.
I reside and own a Quilt Shop in a tiny town in Upstate New York. I love all things primitive including rug hooking, needle punch, wool applique, stitchery and quilts.
My shop keeps me busy with the day to day business, but I like to find time to do some of the other things that I love which include all of the above.
So I have decided to join a couple of online groups to keep me inspired and motivated . I have followed Lori of Notforgotten Farms for a while now and she is one busy lady. She recently started a rug hooking group called "The Out of Hand Rug Hookers" and has invited me to join. Yippee!
I also joined a stitchery group called " Prim Stitchers Society" that has captured my heart.
I will be posting some of my projects along the way.....you never know what they will be.
For my quilting friends, I have not forgotten about my love for traditional, primitive and civil war quilts. After all, I am still a quilt shop with a lot of fabric and a lot of wool!
And lets not forget about my two furry girls ( my M&M girls) Molly and Mia  they will appear from time to time.
So lets get started....
Although I am not much of a rug hooker yet, I am having fun with this pumpkin pattern from " The Old Tattered Flag" called ...Jack O with a Crow. He just called to me and I love him. I have been hooking him in my spare time and he probably wont be done anytime soon, so hang in there with me.
I would love your comments and feedback and any tips for this  newbie hooker, but for now I am flying by the seat of my pants.

                                                                Sweet Mia
                                                                     Sassy Molly

                                                                HAPPY HOOKING,

                                                                            Peg

  2. Hi Peg - I saw your most recent rug hooking project on the new FB page. Great job. I am a fellow central NY gal...we live a bit far though, to make the trip to your shop often. I'm only about 15 minutes from Auburn. I admire rug hooking but haven't learned it yet....I'm working on needlepunch now. I've been a quilter and crafter for oh so many years. It's nice to put a name to your shop...hope to make it down sometime.

  3. Love your wool project and am so jealous! I really, really want to learn to hook, but I just don't have time to add another handwork project to my list! Love your pretty kitties!

    1. Thank you for your comment...I know what you mean about not enough time to do it all. But I still try and make myself crazy! Ha!
